Going out on a perfectly good boat to fish for sharks may seem like foolishness to some, but a huge thrill for other fishermen. Shark fishing in Panama City Beach, Florida is excellent pretty much year round. You can fish, hook-up and maybe land small and large sharks in many different spots. One of the interesting aspects of this type of fishing in the Panhandle of Florida, is that you can catch sharks from the beach, from a dock and from a boat. Sharks are around most all of the time, even if you do not see them.

Bayronto Wreck
The Bayronto Wreck is a large 400 foot long freighter vessel that sank in a storm in the early 1900's off the coast of Southwest Florida. The wreck is located approximately 35 miles offshore and lies in approximately 100' to 110' feet of water. The shipwreck is a popular spot for both fishermen and scuba divers. There are many places to fish and dive in the Gulf of Mexico off of the coast of SW Florida, and this is one of the more popular wrecks that most boats can reach, since it is not too far offshore.
