The above video shows examples of some of the most popular lures to help you catch more linesiders every time you go out on saltwater fishing in Florida. Some of the more famous types of lure names include Rapala X-Raps, D.O.A. shrimp, rattletraps, lipped plugs for slow-trolling, suspending stick baits, paddle tail soft baits and others.

Use a variety of these along the gulf or ocean beaches during the spawn run, the docks or along mangrove tree lines during the day or night. Try to choose natural bait colors to imitate the live bait that is in the area. "Match the Hatch" is certainly a true statement most of time.

One of my favorite lures of all time is the D.O.A. 1/2 ounce shrimp with the gold fleck. It is does the trick on many different species of saltwater gamefish, and is the one lure that I make sure is always in my tackle box. You can fish it any time, day or night. To the presentation extremely natural, make sure to use a loop knot when tying to your leader. Cast out and slowly retrieve while gently bouncing it along the bottom.
