Florida Snook Fishing Season Spring 2014



According to the releases from MyFWC.com, the Florida Snook fishing season will reopen in the spring of 2014 in both the Gulf state waters and the Atlantic state waters for recreational harvest. However, the open dates are different for each area, as well as the size requirements for keepers.

Snook Season Florida 2012 - 2013

Do you fish in Florida? Are you looking forward to catching and keeping a slot sized snook in the fall of 2012? If so, then being able to keep a snook will depend upon which part of the state of Florida you fish. The FWC, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission met in June 2012 to determine when and where snook fishing season would reopen in the State of Florida.

USS Mohawk CGC Veterans Memorial Fishing Reef Off Sanibel Florida

There is an exciting new artificial reef off of Sanibel, Florida. The reef is named the USS Mohawk CGC Veterans Memorial Fishing Reef. The sunken vessel was a highly anticipated addition to the various artificial reefs located off of the Southwest Florida coastline in the Gulf of Mexico. Expect to find a wide assortment of reef fish, game fish and marine life once the sunken reef develops an underwater culture.
